  • Tim Scott calls on Trump to remove Obama monkey video he reposted: ‘Most racist thing’
    Who benefits from this decision?

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) has called on President Donald Trump to remove a Truth Social video he reposted depicting former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama as monkeys.

“Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House,” Scott posted on X. “The President should remove it.”

The video Trump posted on his Truth Social account was largely about election counting technology but concluded with a few seconds showing an apparent AI-generated image of the Obamas’ faces photoshopped onto two monkeys, a racist trope. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the video was an internet meme relating to The Lion King.

“This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the king of the jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King,” Leavitt said. “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”

  • New Jersey primary still undecided as progressive candidate Analilia Mejia pulls ahead
Are they actually going to vote on something real?

New Jersey’s 11th District Democratic primary is still too close to call after progressive candidate Analilia Mejia pulled ahead of former Democratic Rep. Tom Malinowski late Thursday evening.

Mejia is currently leading the pack of 11 candidates vying for the special election seat, with about 17,647 votes, or 28.8%, as of Friday morning. Former 7th District congressman Malinowski is trailing Mejia by just 486 votes, with 17,161 votes, or 28.0%.

Decision Desk HQ initially called the race in favor of Malinowski on Thursday evening just before 9:00 p.m. The Democratic National Committee also issued a congratulatory statement to Malinowski, saying he “clinched victory.” However, the election forecaster rescinded its projection around 10:30 p.m., citing a surge in same-day votes for Mejia in Morris County, where Malinowski was expected to perform the best.

“As the night progressed, margins in Morris County quickly tilted toward Mejia; Mejia began winning drops by 20%-30%, representing a swing of 65 points compared to the absentee vote. This trend reversal prompted us to re-examine our race projection and ultimately retract it,” Decision Desk HQ wrote on X.

As Election Day votes for Mejia began coming in after the initial Malinowski call, the betting market began to reverse in favor of the progressive candidate. Mejia trolled the initial call on X with a “Dewey defeats Truman” image and declared her own victory overnight.

Mejia, who previously served as the national political director for Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) 2020 presidential campaign and served in the Labor Department under former President Joe Biden, scored high-profile endorsements, including from Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). She ran a campaign focused on left-wing ideas, such as making the first $40,000 in wages free of federal taxes and creating a “Medicare for All” system.

Malinowski ran a more moderate Democratic campaign focused on lowering health insurance and housing costs, throwing out President Donald Trump’s tariffs, fighting corruption, and enacting democracy-safeguarding reforms.

Malinowski was also hammered by negative AIPAC ads, which could deal a detrimental blow to his campaign. AIPAC’s super PAC spent over $2.3 million on ads attacking Malinowski in the primary cycle, even though the group previously supported the former congressman, according to Punchbowl News.

  • FBI has arrested one of the key participants behind the Benghazi attack
This looks less like justice and more like strategy.

Federal authorities announced Friday that the FBI has captured and extradited Zubayr Al-Bakoush, one of the key participants behind the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, bringing him to American soil to face long-pending criminal charges.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Al-Bakoush arrived at Joint Base Andrews around 3 a.m. and is now in U.S. custody, marking a major development more than 14 years after the deadly assault that killed four U.S. citizens.

“This defendant will now face American justice on American soil,” Bondi said at a press conference alongside Kash Patel and senior FBI officials. “If you commit a crime against the American people anywhere in this world, President Trump’s Justice Department will find you. You can run, but you cannot hide.”

Al-Bakoush is accused of participating in the coordinated terrorist attack on the U.S. compound and nearby CIA annex starting the night of Sept. 11, 2012, which left Ambassador Chris Stevens, State Department information officer Sean Smith, and CIA security contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty dead.

According to officials, Al-Bakoush was captured overseas and transferred to U.S. custody following a joint operation involving the FBI and multiple intelligence and diplomatic partners. Authorities declined to provide details on the location or timing of the arrest, citing the integrity of the ongoing prosecution.

Patel credited FBI agents and interagency partners for sustaining the years-long effort to track down the suspect.

“The FBI never forgot Benghazi,” Patel said. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we were given the resources to go to the four corners of the earth and bring this terrorist to justice.”

The case will be prosecuted by Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney overseeing the matter, who said an eight-count indictment against Al-Bakoush has now been unsealed. Pirro said the defendant was first charged by sealed complaint in 2015, with prosecutors deliberately keeping the case under wraps as investigators worked to locate and apprehend him.

The indictment charges Al-Bakoush with murder of a U.S. ambassador, murder of a federal employee, attempted murder of a federal agent, terrorism offenses, conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists resulting in death, and arson related to the destruction of the U.S. Special Mission compound.

“For 13 hours, Americans waited for help that never came,” Pirro said, referencing the night of the attack. …

  • Andy Barr Gains Momentum in Bid to Replace McConnell
    Trust is earned, not demanded.

The first two independent polls of the Republican senate primary in Kentucky show Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., in the lead against businessman Nate Morris and former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

The Kentucky senate seat is open because Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the long-time Republican leader in the upper chamber, is retiring. Election observers are interested in who replaces McConnell on the Kentucky ballot because it could signal the direction of the Republican party in the coming years.

On Thursday, an Emerson College poll, which was not carried out by either candidate’s campaigns or campaign affiliates, showed Barr three points ahead of Cameron and ten points ahead of Morris.

Barr garnered the support of 24% of respondents, Cameron received 21%, and Morris 14%. However, 38% of likely Republican primary voters remain undecided, the poll noted.

“This poll shows what Kentuckians have been seeing on the ground for months: Andy Barr is the strongest candidate in this race,” Barr’s Campaign Spokesman Alex Bellizzi told The Daily Signal on Thursday.

“Andy leads in the polls, is the only candidate dominating Democrats in the general election, has more major endorsements than both campaigns combined, and is crushing his competition in the race for fundraising with 10 times the cash-on-hand his nearest opponent,” Bellizzi added. “After over $8M spent, Nate Morris’ campaign is crashing harder than his failed green energy company after it went on the NYSE.”

On Friday, a Quantus Insights poll found Barr ahead of Cameron by 1%.

The poll found Barr had the support of 28% of respondents. Cameron had 27% of support, and Morris earned 17%. Meanwhile, 19% of voters remain undecided.

Cameron and Morris could not be reached for comment.

?WOW? Second independent poll of the cycle from @QuantusInsights has our campaign leading the #KYSEN GOP Primary.
    — Andy Barr (@barrforsenate) February 5, 2026

Barr, who raised a groundbreaking $6.1 million thus far, has received the endorsement of women’s sports activist Riley Gaines, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., and Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C.

Cameron has received endorsements from Kentucky state Sen. Gary Boswell, Bowling Green Mayor Todd Alcott, Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower. But despite the local endorsements however, Cameron trails behind Barr’s campaign war chest by nearly $5 million.

    Morris could soon surge, however.

Morris raised over $6 million on his own before he received a $10 million contribution from Elon Musk last month.

Morris has earned the support of Turning Point Action, Sen. Jim Banks, R-Ind., Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, and Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

The contested primary election is scheduled for May 19.

  • FBI’s Fulton County Election Raid: Better Six Years Late Than Never
    Why resist verification?

The FBI’s Jan. 28 raid on Fulton County, Georgia’s election offices was sorely needed. It should have happened in 2020.

Americans should be proud of this country but ashamed of its Fourth World voting system. While Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has modernized Florida’s elections, Republican Gov. Brian Kemp has light years to go before Georgians can feel equally confident about its votes.

Greater Atlanta is the black hole in which election integrity goes to die.

“Fulton County’s voter rolls are, have been, and continue to be a complete mess,” Republican State Senator Greg Dolezal says in a jaw-dropping new video on X. In the Peach State, “it is illegal to be registered to vote from anywhere other than your primary residence.”

As of Jan. 5, “about 70 people are registered to vote right here,” Dolezal marvels at a UPS Store.

Dolezal visits 850 Oak Street. “There are 19 people registered to vote at this abandoned house,” he explains. Its windows are broken or boarded up. A brown and green blob of weeds and ivy slowly devours the front porch. Nineteen people do not live there. Nonetheless, that’s where they are registered to vote.

Next: 1445 Woodmont Lane. Dolezal says that “138 people registered to vote here”–a virtual-mailbox enterprise called .

“This is 477 Peachtree Street,” Dolezal states. “There are 70 people registered to vote here. It’s a homeless shelter that closed in 2017”–approaching nine years ago.

At 2625 Piedmont Street, Dolezal observes: “Another UPS Store–96 registered voters here, in direct violation of Georgia law.”

Such corruption should be alien to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. Yet here it is, in a mid-term election year, with Sen. Jon Ossoff’s, D-Ga., seat at stake and the GOP’s emaciated majority in play. Control of Congress could hinge on “voters” enrolled at homes populated solely by termites.

The FBI absolutely should probe the perpetrators behind political lawbreaking. During the 2020 election, Fulton County was a full-blown crime scene.

The Election Oversight Group LLC last month released a shocking document —

“Fulton County: Report of Investigation of the 2020 General Election.”

–“According to Fulton County and the State’s own records, 148,319 absentee ballots were counted for the 2020 General Election, but only 125,784 voters were recorded as casting ballots. Therefore, 22,535 more ballots were counted than voters given credit for voting.” That’s right: 22,535 more ballots than voters. That’s called stuffing ballots. If Joe Biden scored just 52.2% of these phony ballots, that would equal his statewide 11,769-vote “margin of victory.”

–“It’s important to note that the number of absentee ballots literally doubled from midnight on Election Day, with 74,024 ballots reported,” the study states. “All 148,318 absentee ballots were accepted and counted without first performing mandatory signature verification.”

–“Of all 376,863 ballots cast in-person (early voting and election day) every corresponding ballot image was willfully destroyed in violation of both state and federal law.”

–“Thousands of ballots appear in the original November 3rd count that were not included in …

  • Stellantis shares plunge on $26 billion charges from electric vehicle retreat
    What's the administration thinking here?

Stellantis shares suffered a record drop after the automaker announced it is taking more than $26 billion in charges to reverse course on its electric vehicle strategy.

The company said in a press release that the write-off is mainly due to a reduction in electric vehicle demand resulting from “re-aligning product plans with customer preferences and new emission regulations in the US.” The cost of the automaker’s “reset” of its business is also related to the resizing of its EV supply chain.

Stellantis’s announcement resulted in shares dropping by more than 28% on Friday morning. The automaker is known for its popular brands, including Jeep and Chrysler.

“Over the past five years Stellantis has become a leader in electric vehicles and will continue to be at the forefront of their development,” Stellantis wrote in the release. “That journey continues at a pace that needs to be governed by demand rather than command.”

“Stellantis is committed to being a beacon for freedom of choice, including for those customers whose lifestyles and working requirements make the Company’s growing range of hybrid and advanced internal combustion engine vehicles the right solution for them,” it added.

US SEEKS TRADING BLOC TO COUNTER CHINA GRIP ON CRITICAL MINERALS, VANCE SAYS

Automakers during the Biden administration invested heavily in EV businesses. They have retrenched, though, after President Donald Trump pared back policies aimed at boosting the EV industry, including by rolling back emission standards and ending subsidies for EV purchases.

Ford and General Motors have recently announced actions similar to Stellantis’s as they similarly pull back from EVs.

  • Sen Tim Scott calls Trump post 'most racist thing I've seen out of this White House'
This feels like a quiet policy shift.

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., called out President Donald Trump for a post on Truth Social on Friday, demanding that the president take it down.
The post in question, which Trump put on his Truth Social Thursday night, depicted former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as monkeys or apes.
Scott, the only Black member of the Senate GOP, called on Trump to remove the post.
REPUBLICANS WARN DEMOCRATS' ICE REFORM PUSH IS COVER TO DEFUND BORDER ENFORCEMENT
"Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House," Scott said. "The President should remove it."

Scott found an unlikely ally in his request in Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who similarly called on Trump to take the post down.
"Racist. Vile. Abhorrent. This is dangerous and degrades our country — where are Senate Republicans? The President must immediately delete the post and apologize to Barack and Michelle Obama, two great Americans who make Donald Trump look like a small, envious man," Schumer said on X.
Scott and Trump have shared a warm relationship since he ran and ultimately dropped out of the Republican presidential race last year.
He now chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Senate GOP's campaign arm tasked with keeping Republicans' thin majority in the upper chamber and expanding it during the 2026 midterm cycle.
SCHUMER, JEFFRIES MEND RIFT, PRESENT UNITED FRONT ON DHS REFORMS AS DEADLINE NEARS
Scott has rarely bucked Trump, positioning himself as a top ally to the president — he was on the short list of possible vice presidential picks before Trump ultimately tapped then Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio.
THUNE BLASTS JEFFRIES, SCHUMER AS 'AFRAID OF THEIR SHADOWS' AS DHS FUNDING FIGHT HEATS UP
However, he has recently broken with the president on the Department of Justice's (DOJ) investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
Scott, who also chairs the Senate Banking Committee, said during an interview with Fox Business earlier this week that he didn't believe Powell had committed a crime during his testimony to the committee last year.

"I found him to be inept at doing his job, but ineptness or being incompetent is not a criminal act," Scott said.
The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

  • Kamala Harris running in 2028 is ‘best news’ for GOP: Joe Concha
    What's the administration thinking here?

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said it’s the “best news” that former Vice President Kamala Harris runs again in 2028 after she rebranded and reactivated her campaign’s social media account, Kamala HQ.

“This is probably not just good news, most welcomed news for JD Vance and Marco Rubio, and that will be the ticket barring some circumstance,” Concha said on Fox & Friends First. “If voters rejected her campaign in 107 days, imagine how voters will see her in 2027 and 2028.”

While many Republicans have been rallying already for a Vance-Rubio ticket, neither Vice President JD Vance nor Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced they are running for president in 2028.

Harris HQ posted a video on its social media accounts on Thursday, sharing that it is rebranding the account to Headquarters, which will be a new “Gen-Z led progressive content hub.”

“After two years of exposure, if you think the Kamala brand gets stronger, you have not been paying attention,” Concha said.

Concha suggested the account reactivation could signal that Harris is running again in 2028. He questioned Harris’s advisers, citing that she did not get to the Iowa caucus when she ran in 2019.

“She likely will run, competition will likely be Gavin Newsom, and regardless who wins, California politicians have not been successful since Ronald Reagan 50 years ago, that is the fact,” he said.

The account username changed on X from @HarrisHQ to @Headquarters_67. Fox & Friends First anchor Todd Piro said that the “six-seven joke” is something children in the “third grade” are doing, which Concha agreed with.

“My 10-year-old loves the six-seven thing; last check, he can’t vote when you are in elementary school or junior high, and most of high school, that being said. I guess they are trying to go for the younger vote,” Concha said.

“To use a word my son uses, ‘this is cringe, Dad, it is cringe,’” he added.
