  • Suicide bomber kills dozens at Shiite mosque in Pakistan
    Who's accountable for the results?

At least 31 people were killed after a suicide bomber detonated in a Shiite mosque on the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan, one of the country’s deadliest attacks targeting the capital in recent history.

While Pakistan has been plagued by sectarian violence in recent years, it has largely been restricted to the ethnic Baloch areas in the southwest and along the border with Afghanistan. A November terrorist attack in Islamabad was the first of its kind in years, killing 12 people and wounding 35, but Friday’s terrorist attack was much deadlier. A senior Pakistani police official gave the figure of at least 31 people dead and 169 wounded, many of them critically.

The suicide bomber attempted to enter the mosque of Khadija al Kubra during Friday prayers, but was prevented from entering. He detonated his explosives at the crowded mosque’s entrance.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif voiced his condolences over the attack, pledging that those responsible would be “identified and punished.” Pakistani President Asif Zardari called the attack a “crime against humanity,” saying the country stands with the affected families.

The bombing occurred as Sharif was attending an event with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev just miles away.

No group has yet claimed responsibility, but the most likely culprits of the attack are the Pakistani Taliban or ISIS. The Pakistani government blamed Afghanistan and India for helping to facilitate the last bombing in November, which led to a limited bombing campaign against Afghanistan. The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs quickly issued a condemnation of Friday’s attack.

“The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan condemns such attacks that violate the sanctity of sacred rituals and mosques and target worshippers and innocent people,” it said.

If Islamabad connects Afghanistan with the attack, it could revive the cross-border conflict that has grown increasingly fierce over the past few years. Hundreds of people were killed in clashes last year.

Raja Nasir, a top Shiite leader, criticized the Pakistani government over the attack, blaming it for security failures.

  • DOT crackdown pulls hundreds of English-illiterate, illegal immigrant truckers off roads as crashes mount
    Who's accountable for the results?

EXCLUSIVE: Federal transportation officials nabbed hundreds of truckers found not to be proficient in English, as otherwise routine stops at weigh stations led to thousands of violations amid a three-day national crackdown.
The latest iteration of Operation SafeDRIVE (Distracted, Reckless, Impaired, Visibility Enforcement) ran from Jan. 13–15 on trucking corridors in 26 states and the District of Columbia and removed nearly 2,000 unqualified truckers and other drivers from the road, USDOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) told Fox News Digital.
The news comes just days after a Kyrgyz national caused a deadly wreck after he failed to brake for stopped traffic on a state road in Jay County, Indiana, crossed the median and slammed into oncoming traffic.
Bekzhan Beishekeev illegally used the Mayorkas-era CBP-1 app to enter the U.S. in 2023 and was later issued a CDL by PennDOT – leading DHS officials to lambast Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who in turn blamed Secretary Kristi Noem’s federal database management.
DUFFY EXPOSES 54% OF NORTH CAROLINA TRUCK LICENSES ISSUED ILLEGALLY TO 'DANGEROUS DRIVERS'
USDOT Secretary Sean Duffy told Fox News Digital that Operation SafeDRIVE saw the FMCSA partner with state law enforcement in a high-visibility enforcement and education effort, addressing unsafe drivers of all types on the nation’s highways.
Operation SafeDRIVE conducted more than 8,200 inspections that led to 704 drivers being taken off the road and out of service.
About 500 of those truckers were penalized for violating English proficiency standards.
CALIFORNIA FATHER SAYS NEWSOM IGNORED HIM AFTER ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT TRUCKER LEFT DAUGHTER UNABLE TO WALK
There were 1,231 total vehicles stripped of their roadworthiness and 56 people were arrested, including several for DUI/DWI and illegal presence in the United States.
"Operation SafeDRIVE shows what happens when we work together with our law enforcement partners to pull unqualified drivers and vehicles off American roads," Duffy told Fox News Digital.
"We need a whole-of-government approach to ensure the Trump Administration’s strong standards of safety are in place to protect American families and reduce road accidents."
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT ACCUSED IN DEATHS OF COLLEGE SOCCER PLAYER, GIRLFRIEND HAD PRIOR DWI DISMISSED: RECORDS
FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs added that the operation’s main goal was public safety.
"When drivers ignore the rules, operate without proper qualifications, or get behind the wheel impaired, they put all of our lives at risk," Barrs said.

  • Newsom tells Louisiana attorney general ‘Go f*** yourself’ over abortion pill prescription lawsuit
    Law enforcement shouldn't be political.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) denounced Louisiana for targeting a California doctor charged with illegally sending abortion pills to the state.

He told Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill to “go f*** yourself” after she sought to have doctors in California and New York, accused of mailing abortion drugs across state lines in violation of Louisiana laws, extradited to Louisiana to face charges. Both California doctor Remy Coeytaux and New York doctor Margaret Carpenter have been indicted on felony charges in Louisiana.

“Louisiana plans to sue me because I won’t extradite a doctor for providing an abortion. @AGLizMurrill: Go f*** yourself. California will never help you criminalize healthcare,” Newsom said in a post to X.

The California governor’s fiery statement provoked a swift reaction from Murrill, a Republican.

“Bless your heart, @GavinNewsom. Killing Louisiana babies isn’t healthcare, nor is shielding California drug dealers. The sovereign State of Louisiana will defend life. See ya soon,” she responded.

Murrill is a co-plaintiff in a federal lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration that centers on Coeytaux. Lead plaintiff Rosalie Markezich alleges her boyfriend at the time used her email address to order abortion drugs from Coeytaux and pressured her into taking the pills. The lawsuit ultimately seeks to require in-person doctors’ visits to obtain abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol. Louisiana issued an arrest warrant for Coeytaux in 2024, and he was indicted on Jan. 8 in St. Tammany Parish.

“This is not healthcare; it’s drug dealing. Individuals who flagrantly and intentionally violate our laws by sending illegal abortion pills into our state placing women in danger. We’ve seen the proof of that, with women showing up in emergency rooms after taking these pills and being coerced into abortions,” Murrill said after Coeytaux was indicted.

California isn’t alone in resisting Murrill’s effort to pursue charges against doctors accused of prescribing abortion drugs to women in Louisiana in violation of state law. Democrats Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James of New York have also resisted Murrill’s attempt to see Carpenter extradited to Louisiana to face charges. A West Baton Rouge Parish grand jury indicted the New York doctor last year for providing pills to a Port Allen woman for her pregnant daughter, who was a minor at the time.

Trump’s Dictatorial Mania Is Increasing—but So Is the Public’s Fury

Trump is retreating into a fantasy world in which he remains an all-conquering strongman. Yet the American people are rejecting him over and over again.

On Tuesday, The Washington Post revealed that the Trump administration was using secretive “administrative subpoenas” to access the phone, e-mail, and social-media communications of US citizens who had criticized the government’s anti-immigrant positions. The content of and rationale for the subpoenas aren’t revealed to the targets. Instead, people are being sent vague legal notices from Google and other tech companies saying that the government has sought access to their accounts—making it all but impossible for them to challenge their validity.

It is the sort of Kafkaesque twilight zone that would have been all too familiar to Eastern Europeans in the decades they spent under the Soviet heel.

For Nathan Freed Wessler, deputy project director at the ACLU Foundation’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, the use of these subpoenas speaks to the increasingly extra-constitutional—or even anti-constitutional—nature of Trump’s second term. “The right to criticize the government and to speak out about government abuses is the core of what is protected by the First Amendment. Government agents abusing these administrative subpoenas to target people for exercising their First Amendment rights is not only outrageous—it’s unconstitutional,” he argues. “Congress has given DHS the power to issue administrative subpoenas in specific kinds of customs and immigration enforcement investigations. But here, the government is violating the law by issuing these subpoenas—which don’t involve approval by a judge—to investigate people for their lawful, protected speech. That’s illegal, and it is a betrayal of our bedrock guarantee that the government can’t punish people because it disagrees with their speech.”

He’s right. Increasingly, on one issue after the next, Trump 2.0 is dispensing with the niceties of the rule of law and reaching toward a Big Brother Is Watching You vision of governance.

Over and over again, the government is making it clear that it regards the First Amendment as an inconvenience to be skirted wherever possible. Witness the recent FBI raid on the home of Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson, targeted for writing articles on workers fired during the …

The release last Friday by the Department of Justice of roughly 3 million documents relating to the investigation of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has created a bizarre blame game among billionaires. Epstein was able to commit unspeakable crimes on a mass scale for decades with only a slap-on-the-wrist punishment because he was rich and well-connected. The new files help flesh out our sense of his social world, which was top-heavy with plutocrats such as the current commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick (who had earlier lied about the extent of his relationship with Epstein), Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates (whose marriage to his former wife Melinda was destroyed in large part by his relationship with Epstein), PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel, LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk (who, like Lutnick, had been deceptive about how often he interacted with Epstein).

These men all had relationships with Epstein after his 2008 conviction and jailing for sex trafficking minors; some also had deep business or philanthropic ties to Epstein. Now that these sordid ties are finally coming back to haunt them, oligarchs are franctically throwing Epstein-related stones at each other from within their respective glass houses. When Hoffman posted on X (the social-media site owned by Musk), “We should focus on prosecuting those who committed crimes and finally getting justice for the victims.” Musk sarcastically responded, “While you’re at it, maybe you can help OJ ‘find the real killer’.” Hoffman shot back with a screenshot of a 2012 e-mail where Musk asked Epstein about visiting his private island, a missive that included this query: “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”

The tawdry exchange between Hoffman and Musk has all the emotional maturity of kindergarten kids accusing each other of having the cooties. In truth, none of those in Epstein’s social circle should escape culpability, since, even if they committed no crimes themselves, they were, at the very least, tolerant of Epstein’s vileness.

The Epstein files are a window into the world of the financial and political elite. What emerges from this window is an ugly sight. Epstein’s coterie transcended normal political divides. Gates and Hoffman are centrist liberals who tend …

When Hoffman posted on X (the social-media site owned by Musk), “We should focus on prosecuting those who committed crimes and finally getting justice for the victims.” Musk sarcastically responded, “While you’re at it, maybe you can help OJ ‘find the real killer’.” Hoffman shot back with a screenshot of a 2012 e-mail where Musk asked Epstein about visiting his private island, a missive that included this query: “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?” The tawdry exchange between Hoffman and Musk has all the emotional maturity of kindergarten kids accusing each other of having the cooties.

  • Who is Kyle Wagner? Meet the self-identified Antifa member arrested after targeting ICE
This looks less like justice and more like strategy.

Federal authorities arrested a self-described Antifa member in Minnesota on Thursday morning after he racked up a significant social media following that the government says was used to obstruct federal law enforcement and threaten to kill ICE agents.
In a video obtained by Fox News Digital, Kyle Wagner, 37, of Minneapolis was arrested in the early morning hours wearing a sweatshirt that said, "I'M ANTIFA," a reference to the far-left organization that the Trump administration has deemed a domestic terrorist group.
Wagner’s bald head and numerous tattoos, including "RESISTANCE" across his chest and a "three arrows" anti-fascist symbol on his neck, have made him a recognizable figure on anti-ICE social media feeds.
Wagner operated an Instagram account under the handle @kaos.follows, where he had amassed tens of thousands of followers before the account was deleted. In his bio, he reportedly used the hashtag #IronFront and described himself as an "entrepreneur."
FROM PROTEST TO FELONY: THE LINES MINNESOTA ANTI-ICE AGITATORS MAY BE CROSSING
On that channel, the DOJ said Wagner had urged followers to confront and attack ICE officers, referred to agents as "murderers" and the "gestapo" and at times called for armed violence against them.
On Jan. 8, 2026, Wagner posted a video stating, "We're f***ing coming for you," directed at ICE agents and prosecutors allege he urged followers to "get your guns" to federal agents and suggested identifying agents even if it had to be done "at the barrel of a gun."
ANTI-ICE 'DIGITAL MINUTEMEN' USE MILITARY-GRADE SURVEILLANCE TACTICS AGAINST FEDS
It is unclear whether Wagner was employed or attended any schools in the area, but he has spoken of himself as a long-time fixture in the city, stating, "I've already bled for this city, I've already fought for this city."
Fox News Digital previously reported that Wagner was on the run and removed his remaining social media accounts last week, while a Venmo account linked to donations was no longer accessible.
"I am basically on the run now. You know, I have safe places, and I have evacuations planned out, but, the way things are going, I'm going to have to be very resourceful, and that's going to take support," Wagner said. "As I've said a million times, I am going to stay in this fight to the bitter end. I'm not gonna run away, but I will need some help."
Wagner acknowledged in a video posted in late January 2026 that he cannot legally possess a firearm, though he did not specify the legal reason for this restriction.

  • Trump takes down video depicting Obamas as monkeys after swift bipartisan criticism
    This is performative politics again.

The White House removed a post from President Donald Trump’s Truth Social account showing former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama as monkeys, blaming its posting on a White House staffer.

“A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down,” a senior White House official told CNN.

The post was up for around 12 hours before being deleted.

The post garnered rare criticism from Republicans on Capitol Hill. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) called on Trump to remove it earlier on Friday.

“Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House,” Scott posted on X. “The President should remove it.”

The video Trump posted on his Truth Social account was largely about election counting technology but concluded with a few seconds showing an apparent AI-generated image of the Obamas’ faces photoshopped onto two monkeys, a racist trope.

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) joined Scott in calling on the President to delete the video.

“The President’s post is wrong and incredibly offensive — whether intentional or a mistake — and should be deleted immediately with an apology offered,” Lawler wrote on X.

Many Democratic leaders across the House, Senate, and state governments have denounced Trump’s repost. Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA), who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland under former President Obama, called Trump, “unwell.”

“Donald Trump greets the first week of Black History Month with one of the most racist things he’s ever posted. This man is unwell,” Beyer wrote on X.

Before taking it down, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s initial response said the video was an internet meme relating to The Lion King.

“This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the king of the jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King,” Leavitt said. “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”

The clip from Trump’s post is not from Disney’s The Lion King, as the movie does not feature gorillas.

  • Florida makes truck driver tests only available in English
    This affects the entire country.

Florida will administer all driver’s license exams exclusively in English, months after officials expressed outrage over a deadly trucking incident involving a driver they said couldn’t read or speak the language.

The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles instituted the new policy effective Friday, ending practices that allowed drivers the option of taking exams in multiple languages. The change to English-only testing applies to all driver license classifications, including oral exams, according to FLHSMV. It also means those seeking their commercial driver’s licenses and permits will no longer be given the option of a Spanish exam.

“Language translation services will no longer be permitted for knowledge or skills examinations, and any printed exams in languages other than English will be removed for use,” the agency said in a press release previewing the policy change. “FLHSMV remains committed to ensuring safe roadways for all Floridians and visitors by promoting clear communication, understanding of traffic laws, and responsible driving behavior.”

The development makes Florida the latest state to block people from taking non-English exams at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Wyoming and South Dakota are among others that have imposed restrictions.

FLORIDA REPUBLICAN PUSHES TO MAKE GREENLAND 51ST STATE

The change in the Sunshine State follows an August 2025 crash on the Florida Turnpike that left three people dead. The accident sparked intense scrutiny into driver’s license protocols, as the Trump administration and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier (R) said the truck driver at fault in the incident, Harjinder Singh, was granted a CDL in California despite not being able to speak English or read road signs.

“How many other illegal aliens who do not speak English, who do not have the competency to drive such large commercial vehicles? How many of them are out on the roads endangering American families?” Uthmeier said at the time. “We’re going to use every tool, every legal tool, at our disposal, to fight back and protect our citizens.”
