Idk if it’s the same but I just needed advice. My friend is going to court against her ex. The guy is delusional. She broke up with him and has texts and phone calls of their conversations. She broke up with him because of the fighting but recently he came to her house cus he “wanted to talk”. She bought him a phone as a “gift” when they dated. but when they broke up he texted that he will give it back. He doesn’t want her gift. So she has that on his in terms of trying to get the phone back. But the main point is that the guy stayed at her house since 5pm. She was with me and my gf hanging out from 7-11pm. When we came back to HER house to drop her off. He was still there. The whole night he was bothering and blowing up her phone. He would not leave her alone. After dropping her off. She calls me up around 1am crying saying he won’t leave her alone, he won’t give back her phone. She went outside to talk to him apparently to get her phone back and to get him to leave her alone. But going dis there a whole altercation happened. And basically at one point my friend was fed up with him and then started yelling at him trying to take her belongings back. She left a bunch of her stuff in his car when they dated. That including the phone she tried to take back but he won’t let her have it back. She’s trying to take the phone back and he start recording her calling her crazy LITERALLY making her out to look like the bad guy. He then calls the cops. When the cops showed up she stayed for a few questions but I guess he made her seem like the bad guy so she just left and calls me up. Right when that happened I just got to her house and then all I hear him saying is he didn’t do nothing. Making himself look innocent. I encouraged her to take this to court and get a TRO and try to get her things back. But today she found out that her job has a lawyer who can apparently back him up. She wants to know if she should go through with this. She doesn’t have much to afford a good lawyer. She has texts and I want to assume voicemails of him calling. I told her to take all that down and keep it safe. She can use that. Basically it’s all of him over reacting his impulsiveness and toxic behavior with her and ones showing him saying he will give her phone and her stuff back. But shes afraid since he supposedly has a lawyer. Should she be afraid? And what can she do about this to better her case?
