Being on the internet as a Cuban and/or Venezuelan sucks
Notice what's missing.

I am the first of my family to be born in the US.
Half of my family left Cuba and the other, Venezuela. Both sides hate the respective regimes.
Leftists will claim we were privileged (we were poor)
They will claim we're white (my family is mostly brown with dark, curly hair)
They will claim my family's opinions don't count because they chose to live in the US (illogical. also, I still have family & friends in both countries)
TLDR:
The experience is basically:
Family leaves a country, in a state of poverty, and to add injury to insult, gets insulted by left (with comments such as "lol Fidel deleted your grandpa" and "gusano" - which means "worm" and is an insult popularized by Fidel.)
They wonder why we gravitate towards the right wing.
Social media is largely unenjoyable because of this.
