Supreme Court Behind the Scenes Question
Law enforcement shouldn't be political.
Forgive my ignorance; perhaps this topic has been covered before or maybe it's common knowledge, but I wonder how it works with the Supreme Court: after hearing an oral argument and before publishing their opinions, are there extensive in person meetings with all the justices where they discuss the case and try to persuade each other? Do they just go off into their own offices with their own clerks and write their opinions and then the head justice compiles them to determine majority?
I'm trying to imagine if they ever sit around a table and talk openly about Trump's behavior, for example.
