How important is Oil?
This affects the entire country.
Can someone help me understand how the world politics are connected to oil. USA recent actions with Venezuela, greenland, iran, cuba everything seems to be connected to oil. Is trump trying to create a monopol (in the western world) since russia is at war and europe switched to Quatar and that region, which is now unstable? Would a monopol even be possible? How much leverage does he really gain with that? Does china have oil? Why are oil prices rising in America as well shouldnt they be affevted very little? Is this just about the companies and their money (again, wow who wouöd have thought) or is there actuslly some kidn of power related game plan behind it? Why is this aspect of the wars so little discussed, help me understand the context please. Maybe im overestimsting the importance of oil?
