Pretty good comments on gas prices here in California, from a guy I barely know.

Like me, he is a former police officer. I thought his comments were pretty reasonable.
“Folks I don't do a lot of so called political stuff on here. However I thought I would comment on the cost of gasoline in California.
I keep hearing about the cost going up and now California is paying the highest in the world for gasoline. Other states pay as little a $ 3.50/Gal. California is about $5.45 today.
Please remember if you voted for this liberal legislature. We are paying .90 cents per gallon in taxes. That means if you have 20 gallon tank you are giving them $18.00 just in taxes alone. If you get gas a couple times a month figure it out. You are paying maybe $36.00 month just in gas taxes. That is a minimum of $360.00 a year just for taxes and ya didn't get a drop of gas extra.
Gas could be in the $3s if it wasn’t for the taxes. which the media very rarely mentions . OK no more political crap from me. Your taxes made our roads better. Hmm Or not.”
